Privacy Policy

BIM•STACK is an independent project. This page explains what information is collected when you use the site and how it's used — in plain language, not legal boilerplate.

What I collect

How it's used

Account data lets you use sign-in-gated features and helps me understand which countries the site's users are coming from, so I know who I'm actually building this for. Aggregate traffic data from Cloudflare Web Analytics and Google Analytics helps me understand which pages and products people find useful. I don't sell your data, and I don't share it with third parties beyond the infrastructure providers below.

Third-party services

This site runs on Google Firebase for authentication and data storage, subject to Google's privacy policy. If you sign in with Google, Google handles that authentication directly. Traffic analytics are handled by Cloudflare Web Analytics and Google Analytics, subject to Cloudflare's and Google's privacy policies. The "Ask AI" search runs on Cloudflare Workers AI — the same Cloudflare privacy policy applies, and what you type there isn't sent to OpenAI, Google or any other AI provider.

Cookies & local storage

The site uses your browser's local storage to keep you signed in between visits. It also uses Google Analytics, which sets a small number of first-party cookies (like _ga and _ga_*) to distinguish repeat visits and measure site usage — these don't identify you by name and aren't used for advertising or cross-site tracking. No third-party advertising or retargeting cookies are used. You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or use a browser extension such as Google's Analytics opt-out add-on, without affecting your ability to use the site.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time from the account menu in the header. To request that your account data be deleted, send me a message and I'll take care of it.
